Unloosen City isn't just home to Ryan Reynolds' uniformly beige NPC, Hombre. It's also teeming with nods to some of your favorite video games, some impossibly hard-to-recognize cameos, and wider Easter egg from pop culture – and that's without mentioning everything that takes put down outer of the virtual human beings of Soonami's monster hit in Free Guy rope.

From Fortnite, to Star Wars, and even a some cheeky backslaps for Ryan Reynolds' own career, present are all of the biggest Free Guy Easterly eggs. It's a perfect companion for those wanting to rewatch IT again with their eyes wide open and their minds blown.

Fortnite: Flossing and pickaxes

Information technology's perhaps no surprise to see Fortnite birth a presence in Free Guy. It is, after whol, one of the earthly concern's biggest and most enduring games.

Unitary of the battle royale's touch moves, the 'Floss' dance, is performed by one of Free Metropolis's player characters. It was popularized by the Epic release and invented past teenager Russell Horning in 2017.

Only that's not the only Fortnite Easter egg. During Guy's Easter egg-laden duel with Dude, helium uses a pickax from Fortnite. If you need to get granular, it's specifically the Rainbow Smash pick. No, you're a Fortnite nerd.

Star Wars and Marvel references

We'll be surprised if you missed these. Roast seriously beefs improving his arsenal in his final act upon battle with Dude, onanism not but a lightsaber, but also blocking one of Dude's punches with Captain America's shield. Valve Easter eggs: Hepatic portal vein and Half-Life weapons

Valve may have slowed dejected its game output considerably in recent years, but its preceding titles are still beloved. Two of its best, Portal and Half-Life, commence shoutouts in Free Guy. Again, during Roast's battle with Dude, he pulls out a Sombreness Gas pedal (first seen in Half life 2) to battle the disagreeable (and beefy) doppelganger. The Vena portae Gun (from Portal) is as wel victimised here – but is first seen in the hands of Millie/Molotov Girl during a stakeout on Free of City's mystifying compound.

Once Guy and Millie enter the compound later in the movie, they're confronted by a gauntlet of respawning enemies. Guy levels the playing landing field with an virtuoso up his sleeve, a weapon that looks remarkably similar to Mega Man's iconic chargeman.

The Mega Broncobuster, introductory introduced in 1987, has undergone several iterations – and has the ability to let loose a fearsome Charge Shot, as Reynolds' Guy does in the movie.
